CIEH set to attend international food safety conference

At the end of October, the CIEH is set to send a delegation to the Dubai International Food Safety Conference to share best practice from the UK as well as promote the benefits of the CIEH to an international audience.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Dubai International Food Safety Conference and the event is being held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre between 25 and 28 October 2015.  

The conference is organised by the Food Control Department of Dubai Municipality and the hosts have designed a series of programmes, workshops and events to educate and benefit food safety professionals from the food industry, regulatory authorities and academic institutions, as well as policy makers and students.

Programmes that have been scheduled to take place over the two days cover a wide range of topics from the safety implications of camel milk and how to detect and prevent food fraud to how to stay ahead of foodborne pathogens.

The 2014 conference welcomed 1,700 delegates from more than 50 countries and the event organisers are expecting that number to increase this year, with visitors also being able to take part in various workshops, technical sessions, and poster presentations featuring more than 200 presenters from all across the globe.

Representing the CIEH will be Jon Flatman, Aiman Rashid, and Polly Legge and together they will be manning exhibition stand B2 as well as promoting all the benefits of working with the CIEH whether you are a food business, a CIEH Registered Trainer/Centre or a Member.
